ENGAGE: As an experienced Director of Housekeeping, you know this is about more than just keeping house in a hotel.  Of course you're responsible for the one thing few people notice unless you don't get it right.  However, you supervise the biggest single department in the hotel.  Responsible for more people and materials than anyone else.  Opening Bobby means you get to select your own team, create your own systems, get hands on, then admire what you've accomplished.     

 

DEMONSTRATE: 

 

You can find, motivate and retain some of the hardest working people in the hotel business.

 

Create the maximum efficiency and performance, while keeping hotel cleanliness at very high levels. 

 

Protect Bobby's assets.  You'll be responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining par levels, inventory and controls.

 

Create a culture where your crew, the front desk and engineering crews work together collaboratively.

 

Train the crew to meet Bobby's standards.  Ensure everything is A-ok and the guests experience a clean hotel at all times.

 

Ability to look ahead.  Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts and other forward-looking analysis.

 

Lead the charge.  Bobby creates a culture that's allows people to be their own unique selves, different, slightly out there and little bit quirky.  You can be yourself, but have be open to others who bring their own unique brand of themselves to Bobby.  Being dog friendly helps too.

 

Pay the crew.  You'll be responsible for scheduling and signing off on payroll,  labor control.

 

You've got the knowledge and experience to set up a Housekeeping department from scratch, including establishing SOPS, training and processes.  You'll hit the ground running, so a fundamental understanding of housekeeping and related purchasing will be essential.  If you've overseen Honor Bar, that's a plus.
