ENGAGE: Keeping Bobby stocked and ready is the main job of the Purchasing Manager.  Finding the highest quality products at the best possible price is the daily goal.  From sourcing, to receiving, and monitoring store room inventory, you'll be working closely with the Chef and other department heads to keep goods moving in and out.

 

DEMONSTRATE: 

 

Know what we've got in house.  Maintain daily inventories of products, par stock levels, purchase quantities and pricing.

 

Be a good shopper.  Obtain bids from vendors, and order appropriately. Then check the quality, quantity and pricing of all goods received. Receive date, price and rotate food items.

 

Protect Bobby's assets.  Maintain good purchasing and distribution control systems. 

 

Work with Bobby's crew.  Organize food requisitions for the upcoming days, and order appropriately.  Deliver F&B items based on requisitions.

 

Keep the paperwork in order.  Maintain the loss sheet.  Maintain daily receiving reports and requisitions.

 

Keep the place in order.  Maintain clean, sanitary storage areas.  Organize storerooms and equipment including carts, pallet jacks, etc.  Keep safety top of mind.

 

Ensure the wheels keep turning.  Provide ongoing reporting and communication with accounting, culinary and other departments.  Attend regular meetings as necessary.

 

Lead the charge.  Actively engage and curate Bobby's unique culture.

 

Bobby is primarily looking for someone with experience in food & beverage and hotel products purchasing.  Other purchasing experience will be considered.
